Astanga Yoga Retreat in San Miguel, Ibiza, 11-18 May 2008 with Sarah Cullen

A one-week retreat taught by Sarah Cullen, providing an opportunity to develop your yoga practice in the peace & beauty of Northern Ibiza. Classes will be taught within the “Mysore Self-practice” tradition, allowing for self-discovery & playful exploration whilst remaining true to the Ashtanga Vinyasa system. Complete or near beginners are also welcome and will be gently introduced to this practice & encouraged to develop their independence within the week. The six-day timetable will consist of 2-4 hours of yoga daily, with self-practice in the mornings, followed by brunch. On three days there will be a more relaxed afternoon practice with plenty of time for questions and discussion. An early evening meal will be served every day. You will have ample time to explore the beautiful island of Ibiza, watch the sunset on the beach or simply relax in the gardens or by the pool. The cost of £525 - £625 per person includes accommodation in twin or double rooms at the retreat centre, two vegetarian meals and the yoga teaching. Drinking water, tea, coffee, herbal teas and fruit juices are also provided. Flights, transfers and travel insurance are not included.

The Teacher- Sarah Cullen
Sarah has studied Astanga Vinyasa yoga extensively with internationally-renowned teachers John Scott and Michael Gannon. She is registered with Yoga Alliance and is also a qualified meditation and children’s yoga teacher. She teaches Astanga full time in London at yoga centres and privately.

Flights
Ibiza is well-served by a number of scheduled and budget airlines including British Airways, Iberia, First Choice and EasyJet. Generally, the earlier you book the better the price.

Transfers/Car Hire
The journey by road from Ibiza airport takes around 30 minutes. A taxi should cost in the region of €30.00. Rooms will be ready for occupation from 4pm on the day the retreat starts and you will need to vacate them by midday on the final day. If you wish to explore the island or venture away from the retreat centre more than occasionally, renting a car is recommended as Ibizan public transport is rather haphazard. All the usual operators are based at Ibiza airport, or you may wish to try the following local company recommended by the owners of the retreat centre: www.rentacarbk.biz.
