ashtanga vinyasa yoga fuses breath and a set sequence of asanas (postures) in a dynamic practice which develops strength, flexibility and awareness whilst detoxifying the system and bringing balance to both mind and body. this course will introduce the basic techniques and principles of astanga yoga as we move with the breath through the opening asanas (postures) of primary series. suitable for beginners as well as those looking for a refresher course.

ashtanga beginners level 2 with sarah cullen
this course will allow you to improve your practice and confidence in a nurturing atmosphere and is the perfect follow-on from a beginners astanga course. in this course, we will look at developing the fluidity and grace of the sun salutations and standing sequence as well as looking in more depth at some of the seated poses and finishing sequence. we will focus on fully mastering the breath and bandhas to bring about core strength and a calm state of mind. by the end of the course, you will have a greater understanding of the underlying principles and structure of the primary series.
8 week course on thursday evenings at triyoga primrose hill, 8:00-9:15pm, cost: £95
